TV Derana
TV Derana is a Sinhalese language free-to-air entertainment television channel broadcasting in Sri Lanka. Launched on 11 October 2005, it is one of the most popular free-to air networks in the country. Its main transmission tower is located in Colombo, and coverage is extended nationwide via substations in Nuwara Eliya, Deniyaya, Gammaduwa, Kandy, and Kalutara.〔("Derena celebrates Sixth anniversary" ), The Island Online, 1 October 2011〕
==Programming==
The channel broadcasts a range of entertainment programmes including dramas, reality shows, Kids Programme, music and variety shows. It operates 16 hours a day, between 06:00 and 23:00.〔(DeranaTV Program Schedule )〕
